RemedyBlox' was launched by "REMEDY" Max in 2014 to help businesses and members of the general public enhance their risk management capacity so they can readily recognize, mitigate and recover from various situational risks and harms as well as become better prepared to safeguard their safety & security against future agents of chaos.
"Remedy" Max holds a BA degree and Master’s degree in Criminology and Collaborative Behavior / Substance Abuse & Addictions Studies from the University of Toronto in Canada. To maintain her competitive edge as a subject matter expert in her professional field of social and situational risk management and harm prevention services she has continued with formal specialized Human Behavior studies, professional training, certifications and specialized professional designations.

The following are just some highlights of "Remedy" Max' professional background that earned her numerous recognitions and awards to date for her positive contributions made in creating accessible, healthy and safe environments for diverse communities, government agencies, corporate sectors, special interest groups and for members of the general public (particularly those with special needs).
- Advocate for injured workers and advisor to employers developing reasonable workplace accommodations plans to create an accessible and equitable work environment for their employees with visible and non-visible disabilities including permanent workplace restrictions (Since 2014).
- Author and artistic designer of the "The Emergency Preparedness Guide for People with Disabilities and Special Needs". A publication that was Ontario's 1st comprehensive provincial emergency preparedness guide for the general public and people with disabilities and special needs to help them become better prepared for large scale declared emergencies in the province. (May 2007).
- Managed all the linguistic and accessible format logistics to have the "The Emergency Preparedness Guide for People with Disabilities and Special Needs" published in 7 different languages and a total of 27 various accessible formats (e.g., large print, audio, video with captions, cds, diskettes, e-formats, etc.) to accommodate easy-read copies for the more than 1.5 million Ontarians with disabilities and special needs and for persons living in Canada who may not be well versed or fluent in the official English or French language. (2007).
- Delivered a 30 minutes live television interview on CBC Newsworld as a subject matter expert on accessibility and emergency management representing the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services and its newly launched provincial emergency preparedness guide for the 1.5+ million Ontarians with disabilities and special needs in Ontario (June 2007).
- Public Speaker at over 300 municipal community events and town halls across Ontario - delivering comprehensive emergency preparedness and risk management presentations to thousands in attendance including government officials, emergency management experts and diverse disability agency groups looking to improve public accessibility awareness to help Ontarians with disabilities and other vulnerable segments of the population become better prepared for an emergency event. (2007 - 2011).
- Developed and managed various academic events for Woodsworth College and the Center of Criminology at the University of Toronto (1998 - 2000).
- Developed conference programs and secured expert speakers for large scale corporate and provincial forums in Ontario and across Canada on business optimization, risk management, crisis communication and emergency preparedness.(2005 - 2011).
- Developed the 1st Annual UN International Day for People with Disabilities Forum in Ontario in 2007 followed by the 2nd Annual UN Forum in 2008. Managed all aspects of program agenda, written content, securing subject matter expert speakers to an audience of over 200 delegates. Ensured both forums were fully accessible and accommodated the special needs of people with disabilities and those with dietary restrictions due to medical conditions or religious observances.
- Presented a comprehensive 2 hours workshop to over 300 national and international emergency management delegates at the World Conference of Disaster Management (2007).
- Spearheaded the provincial government's new Diversity Consultation Initiative in 2010 and 2011 including developing and managing two separate large scale diversity forums that brought together over 100 diversity stakeholder agencies to identify new communication solutions for relaying key emergency preparedness information to Ontarians with language barriers, of different ethnic, cultural and religious backgrounds including to help the province better understand how best to accommodate each diverse group's particular restrictions and special needs during a declared emergency event.
- Contributed to various NGO disability agency steering committees in the development of improved access for client groups (2007 - 2011).
- Spearheaded the Lunch'n Learn sign language educational series within the Ministry to improve staff communications with members of the deaf community. (2009).
- Managed and developed over 500 collaborative accessibility and diversity stakeholder partnerships with various provincial and national NGOs, municipal, provincial, federal government agencies and business community members to promote best practices in accommodation and inclusion of clients from diverse minority and special needs groups in Ontario. (2005 - 2011).
- Served as a contributing subject matter expert on several Provincial ministry-working action groups responsible for developing, finalizing and implementing the AODA Customer Service and Information & Communication Standards in Ontario (2008 - 2011).
- Developed and managed hundreds of corporate events, educational forums, industry conferences and public educational workshops and learning programs that focused on Risk Reduction and Harm Prevention in Ontario and across Canada since 1998.
- As a champion of creating inclusive and accessible environments for people with disabilities and special needs - conferences and special public events she developed and managed for the Center of Criminology already incorporated equitable access considerations for people with disabilities and special needs - well before the ADO started to enact accessibility standards into law in 2001 for the province of Ontario.
- Worked as a weekly safety columnist for the Metro Toronto Newspaper with over 120 public safety awareness and risk mitigation articles published for a weekly Toronto readership of over 540,000 not including millions of on-line subscribers and weekly followers worldwide. (2004 - 2006).
- Served as a Court Watch Reporter in the Ontario's Domestic Violence Courts for the Woman's Abuse Council of Toronto (WOMAN'S ACT) to help identify any gaps, systemic judicial biases and areas for improvement for survivors of domestic abuse and intimate partner violence appearing in court to testify against their abuser. (2002 - 2003).
- Since 2001 she has delivered numerous risk reduction and harm prevention workshops, risk mitigation presentations as well as individual consultation session to survivors (both females and males) of domestic violence, narcissistic abuse, financial exploitation and to individuals struggling with various forms of behavior addictions like problem gambling and substance abuse.
- Served as a contributing writer and editor for several magazine publications that promoted personal safety & security strategies to the general public as well as to help empower the most vulnerable from becoming exploited or victimized (2003 - 2010).
- Safety & Security CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design) strategist. Consulting with home owners and business operators to incorporate multidisciplinary crime deterrence alternatives to safeguard residential / commercial properties from the criminal element.
